Which Seconds Were Observed? Reference-Trajectory Gaps and Distance-Rate Summaries
Abstract
A trajectory file's first and last timestamps can conceal long intervals without intervening reference poses. Across 52 public TUM RGB-D pose files, intervals longer than 50 milliseconds accounted for 5.26% of elapsed time on an equal-file basis. Eighteen files contained such intervals; the largest individual gap was about 130 seconds. Restricting both chord distance and duration to shorter intervals changed the mean distance rate from 0.2034 to 0.2117 meters per second, with an uncertain mean difference. The audit makes the supported interval explicit while leaving the missing trajectory unresolved.
Availability audit of official camera reference trajectories. Excluding long intervals identifies a different observed-time summary; it does not reconstruct the unobserved physical path.
